This island of Britain is the sacred isle, the mystic isle of the ancients; there are many sacred places yet to be discovered. It is of vital importance to the whole planet that these places are rediscovered and honoured, so that they may be rebirthed into the present age. All of us can do this. We can all go on a pilgrimage to be ‘tuned’ in to the vibrations of these places; the choice is yours! You can look for a stone circle or a standing stone on your local map and visit them; there are so many of these sites. You may want to visit the ancient Ridgeway, the Uffington White Horse, Avebury, the Rollright Stones or Stonehenge, etc.
These are places where the ghosts of communities linger on in the ether, taking eternal possession of the landscape, giving a purpose to modern pilgrims. You might like to visit some old churches around you, remembering that they were built on ancient sacred sites. You might want to go on a Celtic pilgrimage to Brittany, Wales, Scotland or Ireland. You may want to create a sacred place in your own garden.
All you need is a sense of respect, and to ask the guardian for permission to enter, remembering that it is a holy place. You may honour it in whatever way feels right to you: singing, dancing, saying prayers or leaving biodegradable gifts for the elementals. You may both give and receive healing. Be aware that if you are visiting an Earth chakra, it will affect your own corresponding chakra also, so do take care to allow for this. If you can do this, you will be performing a service to this sacred land. Bless the Earth and ask for a blessing on yourselves also.
The importance of sacred sites
Where did they come from? From the beginning of Planet Earth. What are they? They are Mother Earth doorways to other dimensions. Earth was part of a star before it became a planet. We are children of the Earth but we are also children of the stars. All of the many peoples and cultures have stories of the Creation. They are pieces of a jigsaw from before recorded time.
From long before recorded time there were places – sacred places – that were seeded with information containing universal consciousness, the ether, or the ‘flow’ as we are apt to call it. On these sites there were stones that formed at this time, so that through these portals our ancestors can communicate with us. Many of us are Celtic. Most of those people who originated in Western Europe have Celtic roots, and so do those from this continent who crossed the oceans to other lands. This is why there has been a revival in learning once again the ancient ways and secret places of our land.
Each circle of standing stones has a different purpose, which you can discover for yourselves. There are earthly and stellar libraries that can be accessed, information on what has been and what will be, as we are more and more able to come into harmony and balance, and to use this balance to create wholeness within ourselves. It is through visiting these sites that your living energy field can exchange states of resonance with the ancient stones. You need do nothing more than just be there.
All sites have a special guardian who protects it and protects you when you are there. Always acknowledge this guardian and ask permission to enter the site. State out loud your intention and include the elementals, who also guard and protect it.
You may wish to know the purpose of the place and consciously speak to the guardian of the site. You may need several visits to become attuned to the energy. To go in a group to meditate and say prayers for peace and healing, or to perform a simple ceremony, will open up the site and yourselves. Many of the sites have been shut down and are just waiting for you to awaken them. Some, however, have been closed, never to work again, but you will ‘know’ whether your site is working or not. All you really have to do is to approach with a sense of respect for its ancient lineage, its spirit guardians and its elementals. Leave flowers as gifts for them, to show your respect, for as you give so shall you receive.
Stairways to heaven
The power at sacred sites is measurable and can be sensed through meditation, prayer or attunement. These sites can facilitate the ability to connect with or travel to other dimensions, to contact other dimensional beings, and to receive psychic impressions from the past, present or future. You can connect with your past lives, your higher self, your spirit guides and your guardian angel.
White Eagle says that when we visit ancient, sacred places, although the ceremonies on an outward level may be gone, we can still sense the impression these wonderful rituals have left upon the ether and we can be aware of how they are being performed in spirit. The isle of Britain is called the mystic isle because it is full of these centres of pure spiritual power. The ceremony that was once performed can be celebrated again in the ethereal world, with our help. Please honour the sacred site and approach it with the greatest respect, for it is the ‘stairway to heaven’ that the ancients knew.
