I so loved writing the Tara and Her Talking Kitten books [210329 and 210330] that I couldn’t stop thinking of stories to help children and introduce them to the other realms. So I wrote twelve ten-minute stories and recorded them onto two CDs, with fabulous sound effects and music by Diane Egby Edwards.
The stories are fun, though even I was surprised when I played the test CD to a young mother who was convulsed with laughter as she listened!
Tara is not always polite or tactful. She gets into trouble and can be horrid as well as nice but her little grey kitten, Ash-ting, helps her no matter what.
In the stories Tara learns how to talk to her guardian angel. She meets her dragon and makes friends with a Chinese girl. She rescues some children with the help of the mermaids and dolphins. In one story, because of her bad behaviour Ash-ting her kitten, is stuck at the top of a tree by a naughty dragon. In another a courageous imp helps her and her brother Jack. All the stories offer unique insights into other realms and teach children how to help themselves and others.
These CDs are a fabulous way of keeping children (and adults) enchanted: for children aged 5-9 years, who will be enchanted by these stories and learn about other cultures, nature, fairies and angels as well as how to deal with feelings. They also make wonderful bed time stories.
