  Mohr, Barbel: INTRODUCING MEDI-PLAY

For those orders you have made with the universe that have not yet worked, medi-play is the perfect alternative. It’s a brilliantly simple, all-purpose, effective meditation for the lazy. Actually, this technique is the direct opposite of cosmic ordering, but nontheless I feel it has a place because it proves the point: match your technique to your life. Absorb everything you find beneficial, without questioning the source, and your inner power will increase automatically.

Medi-play has a few simple rules. These are:

1. Sit comfortably.
2. Moving is allowed.
3. Silence is best. No music.
4. Thoughts are allowed.
5. Think of words or sentences that one views as the most positive and constructive at the moment. The sentences should contain nothing that must be attained, but only consist of positive observations that can be imagined and felt: ‘I like this’, ‘I love that’, or ‘I find X and Y beautiful’. This does not provoke our subconscious doubts.
6. Allow the sentence or the word to have an effect on the body and observe how it feels.

We know, or presume, that our thoughts create our destiny. We therefore want to think positively, lovingly, and constructively. However, if we tell ourselves that we are healthy, happy, content, strong, balanced etc., while feeling the opposite, we accomplish nothing. Our predominant thought pattern becomes one of lack as we compare our thoughts to what is ‘really going on’. There is a feeling of having to work hard at ‘selling ourselves’.

So keep it simple. Create a simple mantra: ‘health’. What does your subconscious have to question? There is little room for doubt: just one simple word.

‘And...?’ your subconscious may ask.

‘No and,’ you answer calmly.

Truthfully, this is a brilliant trick to outsmart the subconscious, with all its doubts and fears. As long as you think only the word ‘health’ without any conditions attached to it like ‘I want... I must... I need... I do not have...’ your subconscious has nothing to nag you about. One little word can have a powerful effect on your insides. Now, consider what one little word like ‘illness’ or ‘failure’ can do to you.

It is best to think only of words that give you a positive feeling. In this way, you can reprogramme your subconscious. If no doubts are activated, the subconscious relaxes. It does nothing but listen, absorb, and translate.

Maybe for years you have thought: ‘I am healthy, I am healthy,’ but underlying this is the core belief ‘I have never been healthy, and besides, this technique can’t work for me anyway.’

Now, instead, you merely sit comfortably and think only of concepts that make you happy, such as beautiful flowers, meadows, mountains, sunshine, holidays, love, health, many friends, affectionate contact, etc. You can think of such concepts for hours, and not once will your subconscious object, because you are merely creating a gentle mental picture. You are not demanding: ‘Subconscious, do this, don’t think that!’ You are merely formulating concepts with no attachment. The good news is that these concepts seep even more deeply into your subconscious because there is no resistance and, like a computer, your brain will retain whatever is ‘saved’ for future use. (Garbage in, garbage out, or in this case: beauty in, beauty out.)

With practice, you may build up sufficient confidence to try your hand at complete sentences. But beware: the trick here is to think only of those things in which you have complete confidence. If you have less than five hundred pounds in your bank account, you should never think: ‘I am rich’ or even ‘I will be rich’. However, sentences such as ‘I like wealth’, ‘I find abundance fulfilling’, or ‘I love living a life of wealth’, are most effective. They do not give the subconscious anything to question. Interestingly, by doing this, you may also discover that saying ‘I like wealth’ is uncomfortable because it is not really true. All the better. Now, you have the awareness to discover what you do like.

Starting a sentence with ‘I like....’ or ‘I love....’ is always good, filling in the blank with whatever it is that you desire. If you say to yourself, for example, ‘I love a big garden’, your subconscious has nothing to criticize. The only thing it has to go on is: ‘My boss [meaning you] loves a big garden. I can see this garden. Fine.’ The subconscious remains at ease with this image, processing at its own speed.

This creates a very different response than the thought, ‘I have a big garden’, when the reality is that you do not. Your underlying logic ‘knows better’, and the contradiction causes stress on the system, (unless you belong to that rare breed of happy people, capable of conceiving such a thought in childlike innocence, devoid of any sense of indignant lack).

Even the thought, ‘I will get a big garden soon’ opens the door for questions like ‘Oh, but how could this happen?’ Only the statement ‘I love a big garden’ contains nothing to provoke doubt. It therefore has the greatest chance of being manifested.

You can repeat such a sentence often, programming your whole system gently and slowly without exerting pressure, without giving your subconscious any stressful commands.
