Frequently asked questions
How can I use my 10% Supporting Membership Vouchers online?
Once you have reached the Checkout, use the code 'cygsup10' in the space provided for any discount vouchers. Then click 'Apply'. If you are still unsure, you can always make a comment in the Notes section, (just below 'How would you like to pay?') and this will be picked up by the Customer Care team. Please note that we can only apply vouchers that are available on your account and we may not be able to despatch all of your order if this has been applied incorrectly. If in doubt please give us a call on 01558 825503 and we will be happy to help.
How do I view my Wish List?
In order to view your Wish List, you must first add another book to the wish list. Then you can choose to 'View Wish List', and edit it accordingly.
Where can I find my Customer Reference Number?
Your Customer or Membership number can be found on the line immediately between your name and address, on any copy of the Cygnus Review that has been sent to you directly. It should be 6 digits, and start with a 1 or 2.
How do I know if my Suppporting Membership has expired?
Your Supporting Membership lasts for a year, and during that time you are entitled to use your three 10% discount vouchers, and Free Postage to your home address. Please feel free to call Customer Care on 01558 825503 if you have any queries regarding this.
What to do if I can't find a book?
Search for the title or author in the Search Box at the top of the page by clicking on the blue arrow, or click 'Advanced Search' for a more specific search. Otherwise you can search by Category or Issue, and these options are located on the side of the page under 'Subjects'. Failing that of course, if you're not sure you searched for it correctly feel free just to give us a call and we will be happy to help as best we can.

How to Make Extra Savings
- Free p&p when your order is worth £35 or more per address (UK orders only).
- Become a Cygnus Supporter by making a suggested minimum annual contribution of just £12 per year and receive three 10% off vouchers plus FREE p&p on all orders to your own address within the UK, or reduced p&p overseas.
- Visit our Gifts and Bargains section, where we highlight titles that cost £5 or less, or on which you can save 40% or more.
- Visit our This Month's Special Offers section, where you will find titles on which you can make extra savings if you buy 2 together.

Important Note: If you order from this website, you'll be accepted as a Cygnus member, and you'll automatically receive several free issues of the Cygnus Review, which we hope you'll enjoy. There is absolutely no obligation attached to this membership. All we ask is that you let us know if you do not want to continue receiving the Review. If you're not ordering at present, but would still like to be put on our mailing list and receive Cygnus Review regularly, please register with us.

- UK Express Delivery - An additional £4.80 to standard delivery rates. Your order will be priority picked and despatched using Fed Ex next working day service. Fully trackable, giving you peace of mind for those urgent, last minute purchases.

Delivery Times
UK
Normally, if the delivery address is in the UK, your order should reach you within a week. However, please wait 2 weeks before making a delivery enquiry.
Overseas
If the delivery address is outside the UK, delivery will, of course, take longer (1-3 weeks for Europe, and 2-4 weeks for Rest of World). All overseas orders are despatched by Airmail.
Temporarily out of stock items
Very occasionally, one or more of the items you ordered may be temporarily out of stock. These items will be forwarded separately, as soon as they arrive in our warehouse. There is no extra charge for postage, and your card will not be debited for these items until we are ready to send them. You will be informed of any temporarily out of stock items by email.
If your order is specially urgent
If there is a special reason for wanting your order despatched extra urgently, please let us know and we will be happy to help you. (There may be an additional charge for faster delivery services, however we will always discuss these with you first)

No Quibble Cancellation/Returns Policy
We like to make returns as easy for you as possible. If any item fails to give you complete satisfaction, you are welcome to return it within 10 days of delivery and we will be glad to send you a refund or credit note (just let us know which you prefer). This does not affect your statutory rights. In the case of DVDs and CDs, we can only accept returns if the seal has not been broken, unless the DVD or CD is faulty.

Gift Service
You can ask for any of the titles you are ordering to be giftwrapped and sent to a friend with a greetings card containing your message. The cost of this service is £1.50 per giftwrap plus p&p. Just click here if you would like to use our Gift Service.

What to do if you are an existing Cygnus member using our new website for the first time:
As an existing Cygnus member, we hold your details on our office database. However, our new website does not yet have your details.
So, when you use our new website for the first time, you need to register, by clicking the 'register' button at the top right of this page, and following the instructions.
You will be asked for your email and address details, and also whether you are an Existing Cygnus Member, or a Cygnus Supporter. When you are asked for a password, just give a word that you can easily remember, and the system will remember it next time you log onto the site.
The advantages of registering on our website are:
1. You can build up your own wishlist - of books you are interested in but do not want to buy right now.
2. The new website will remember your name and address details, so you do not have to key them in every time, as you did on our old one.
However, if you do not want to register for any reason, you do not have to. It is still possible to order without registering, just as it was on our old website.
If you are a Cygnus Supporter, then, a day or so after you have registered, you will receive an email from us letting you know the code you need to enter to use your 10% off vouchers, and another email informing you that 'the membership you have selected has been activated'. Once you have received this email, our new website will offer you the correct postage options at checkout.
