ENERGY HEALING Christina Mark
Review
Discover how the movement of energy contributes to healing. This straightforward guide serves both as an accessible introduction and as an informative reference tool for practitioners. Christina Mark examines the seven levels of energy, starting with the auric field and progressing to the physical processes of the body via the endocrine and nervous systems, the meridians and chakras. She guides you through the effects of stress, love, nutrition and exercise on our emotional, mental and physical health. She demonstrates how to work with energy, step-by-step, to improve health in body and mind and soul, and specifically how to work with pregnancy, labour, children, the dying and the bereaved. The final section explains the healing process and the need for professional conduct and practice, and provides a plan for holistic healthcare. The clear, informative diagrams and exercise series may be used in both a personal and a professional setting.

Energy through Light into Form
As above, so below. Anon
Matter is the tangible appearance of energy as it expresses itself in the journey through light into colour, sound and form. There is a continuum of expression of consciousness manifesting itself as the universal source of life which is carried through energy. Given that energy underlies all form it is necessary to explore something of its nature and how it affects our minds and bodies.
Investigating the relationship between the body systems, the meridians, the chakras, the aura, and light itself, reveals the interconnectedness not only of mind and body but also of all life forms, from the smallest creature to the greatest solid mass, from a single cell to the planets of the solar systems.
The seven bodies of energy traditionally are known as the divine, the spirit, the soul, the mind, the astral, the etheric, and finally the physical form of the body. This most beautiful and scientific construction vibrates with energy throughout its lifetime, absorbing and assimilating it from the divine, from the inspiration of the spirit, the nurture of the soul, the stimulus of the mind, and the framework of the etheric body. Energy may become blocked or split but it is never destroyed. It is either reformulated or released, and returns to its universal source to be used endlessly for the expression of life in every form. Energy comes from an infinite source which animates all of creation. It moves cyclically, turning and returning in a sequence that is mirrored throughout the universe, be it the changing of the seasons or the rotation of the planets.
In its outermost and most visible form it equates in the auric field to the colour purple, and is known as the divine body, which is the deepest source of all realized contact. From the purity of the divine it extends into the expression of spirit, which equates with blue, the colour of inspirational thought. Spirit cannot be destroyed. It is in constant movement, animating the chakras. From the spirit it flows into the soul body, which provides a place for it during its sojourn on this plane of existence. The soul body equates with turquoise, the colour of expressive thought, revealing itself in the meridians, which lie just beneath the surface of the skin. Just as the soul is receptive to the spirit by providing it with a setting, so the meridians are receptive to the life force by directing energy though a network of interconnecting pathways into the systems of the physical body.
Energy extends through the soul into the mind body, where consciousness is seated. The mind body equates in the auric field with green, the colour of nature, showing itself through the activity of the autonomic and central nervous systems. These systems activate all the senses, providing the mind with stimuli without which it cannot function. The mind body is the centre point of the seven bodies and all the others may be accessed though it and illuminated by it.
Energy then travels through the mind into the astral body, which represents the emotions. The astral body equates with yellow, the colour of emotional thought, revealing itself in the endocrine system, whose hormones set all the structures and forms into motion. Just as the hormones released by the endocrine system act as a catalyst to the outer form, so the emotions generated from the astral body trigger the inner form, the faculties of consciousness, in all the range and depth of their expression. Energy moves through the astral into the etheric body, which provides the template that shapes and guides all the structures and functions of the living form. The etheric body equates with orange, the colour of creative thought, as it reveals itself in the template of the blood. It is the blood that carries the living power of creation, building the conditions for living by transporting the nutrients necessary to make life possible. The etheric body fills all space and supports the propagation of electromagnetic radiation, without which the life force and its nutrients would have no foundation and structure to manifest into the physical body. Finally the energy completes its journey in the physical body, which equates with red. Here is all the potential for expression encompassing the whole spectrum of possibilities from the most uplifting to the most oppressive.
Just as energy can never be fixed neither can human potential in its ability to move forward, to adapt and start anew.
Energy moves through these seven levels continually. In turn the body regenerates energy through breathing, eating and drinking, returning it via the meridians and chakras, so that it encircles the seven levels of energy that constitute the auric field.
With understanding may come an awareness and an appreciation of the underlying intelligence that governs and directs the flow of energy, and which comes into its most potent and comprehensive expression in the human being.
The human being has been given a twofold responsibility: to be receptive to the innate intelligence as it makes itself known through the consciousness of each of us and to act on it according to our individual measure for our well-being. When this comes about there is an ease of flow within the energy field, in which the light of consciousness finds clear expression in the minds and bodies of those willing to respond to it. The study of energy brings light to every level it explores, from the level of the spirit to its most tangible expression in the visible form.
