As we shift towards an energy-based paradigm, we are in transition from ego-based co-dependency in our connections with others, to more authentic, loving and co-creative relationships – from tame love to wild love.
The ego lives in the small, limited world of surface reality. Since it is disconnected from the deep Self, it feels unsafe and unloved. It is ruled by fear, judgment and insecurity and is only capable of tame love.
Tame love means accepting what is seen as good or safe, and rejecting what is seen as bad or dangerous – within yourself, others or the world. It means being guided from outside the Self – by others' needs and demands and expectations, or by conforming to social norms or religious traditions, or by playing roles instead of being authentic. The problem is that 'trying to be good' splits your energy. Every time you give in to fear, guilt or insecurity, you bow down to your ego – you bow to the imaginary gods of conditional love – and turn your back on your deep Self. You shrink a little. You block the flow of Source energy, so that you fall asleep and your awareness contracts. Then your soul is imprisoned. Your dreams fade into the distance. You project your perceived shame or 'badness' into the outside world. You flow down old riverbeds of relating – patterns which are familiar from childhood, or promoted by our culture. Riverbeds of fear and guilt and blame and misguided loyalty. Riverbeds of conformity. Your relationships will show co-dependent cycles of Control-and-Sacrifice. Taming or being tamed. Then real love and intimacy become impossible.
Your emotions will send warning signals – ranging from divine discontent to rage, guilt, anxiety, resignation, despair or even suicidal impulses – but all too often, this makes you cling even more tightly to the status quo. You try harder to be 'good' and to earn love, or try harder to control the person or circumstances that you believe are causing your pain or discomfort, or just resign yourself to 'what is'. And this leads you further and further away from love, and away from your deep Self.
The real solution lies within – in reconnecting with Source energy, with unconditional love. Then you know you are safe, you are loved, and you are worthy. You do not need to 'get' those feelings from anyone else. And you 'know' you are creating it all, that it is all a dance of co-creation, that the world simply mirrors back your own vibrations. Then you can reclaim your power – and your consciousness expands.
Wild love means knowing that everyone is good, that everything within you is good, and everything that happens is unfolding perfectly. Then you love yourself enough to trust in your emotions, and to reawaken your dreams and desires. You choose to be happy, rather than trying to be good. You stop driving yourself so hard, or keeping yourself in a cage, or sacrificing yourself to please others. You become wild and free. You can be authentic with yourself and others. You follow your bliss, using your emotions to guide you towards love and joy and freedom. You reconnect with Source, and become an apprentice god or goddess. You move beyond duality – no longer splitting the world into good and bad, right and wrong, safe and dangerous. You begin to love wildly.
Now you can truly love others – with an open heart – instead of expecting them to be who you want them to be, or trying to 'earn' love and approval, or holding back. You can breathe more easily. Your relationships become truly loving, joyful and liberating. You grow and expand. Your self-love is mirrored back to you by others. You become a whole person within a rich network of loving relationships – choosing to share your journey with others in whatever form, and for however long, feels good. You might not 'conform' any more – you might be a maverick – but your energy becomes coherent. By choosing to be happy instead of trying to be good, you release your true potential as a loving, co-creative and unique spark of Source energy. A spark of God. A spark of the creative energy of the Universe. Your mature ego merges with your deep Self. Now you can live with a foot in both worlds. You become a conscious co-creator, and can help to create heaven on earth. This is the hero's journey. This is the gift of wild love. It is the future of humanity in this time of global awakening.
