Arianrhod’s Dance provides a discussion of and an introduction to Druid ritual, for solo practitioners and Groves alike. It includes actual sample rituals for each of the eight major festivals of the Druid year. Also provided are rites of passage for birthing, naming, coming of age, independence, binding, unbinding, death and funerals. The final section of the book presents rituals for the full moon and new moon, and for asking blessings on our food, children and pets, as well as on our journeys, our night’s rest and our daily activities. All these rituals are used to provide a focus, to situate us at a moment and a place outside time and space, where our relation to specific aspects of the world is clarified. They are intended to mark real and often intimate events of enormous consequence; and by marking these events, we allow them to mark us – binding us to the Sky, to the Land, and to the Sea from which they all derive.
